A funny story - I was approached by a company who wanted me to do a detailed cutaway drawing of HMS Victory and sent me a reference picture to go by telling me they had sent me this particular picture because it was the most detailed picture they could find of HMS Victory, and asked me to familiarise myself with the picture.  I contacted them straight away and thanked them for sending me the picture and advised them that I was already very familiar with the artwork as they had indeed sent me my own artwork to use as reference!  My wife thinks this is just about the biggest compliment an artist can get, being sent their own work as reference!
